Bricco Giubellini Barolo 2016

Bricco Giubellini Barolo 2016

Sourced from vineyards planted by Bricco Giubellini in 2000 in Monforte d'Alba, on limestone, clay and marl soils. Grapes are hand harvested and selected for quality upon picking.

In the winery, fermentations are spontaneous - by indigenous yeasts, and maceration occurs in stainless steel tanks for 10-14 days. Ageing in small format oak barrels for 24 months, then to stainless steel for another 4 months and bottle ageing for 1-1.5 years.

This wine has an intense nose, with hints of jam, spice and wood. A full bodied palate with pleasant tannins. Good for ageing.
