Ceretto Barolo Bricco Rocche 2016

Ceretto Barolo Bricco Rocche 2016

In Castiglione Falletto, wedged between the Villero and Rocche vineyards of Castiglione, there is Barolo’s smallest additional geographical indication (MGA). It is called Bricco Rocche and, since the mid-1970s, it has been the exclusive monopoly of the Ceretto family. The position of this parcel of land is unique, located at the exact centre of the appellation, and the idea of immersion that it conveys proves to be its first expression. The Ceretto family states that the wines from this hill "harmonise the main characteristics of a whole terroir, almost as though they were obtained by osmosis with the environment surrounding them. This circle, ideally already closed, is definitively completed in the glass. What emerges is a whole sense of harmony and the olfactive matrix that is sanguine and austere, rousing and filling the nostrils, or the density of tannins, which instils it with a vigorous, but succulent and long, mouthfeel, do not disrupt the sense of balance."
