The Dalle family has been running this estate, initially created in 1753, for
several generations. The wines from Costie`res de Nimes (in the Gard
de´partement) are famous in France for representing extremely good value. The
“galets roule´s” (rounded pebbles) which make up the soils and the warmer
climate favour the Chateauneuf du Pape red varieties Syrah, Grenache, and
Viognier, famous in the Northern Rhone.
This wine is infused with pomegranate and plum, and floral rose notes which
are complemented by dried herbs and liquorice. Delicious!
