Domaine Trenel Coteaux Bourguignons 2023

Coteaux Bourguignons is a broad Burgundy appellation stretching from Chablis to Lyon, created in 2011 to allow flexibility in style and grape variety. Trénel’s version is crafted from 100% old-vine Gamay grown on limestone soils near Villefranche and Le Bois d’Oingt in southern Beaujolais. Light-bodied with a ruby hue, it offers vibrant notes of red and black berries, a hint of stony cherry, and a touch of Pinot-like elegance. Crisp and round on the palate, it’s best served at 15–18°C with grilled or sauced meats, or bold cheeses like Époisses.
