The Valette family have been producing fine Macon wines for generations. They
have 17 hectares of vines in Macon-Chiantre. Soils here are a mixture of clay
and limestone and as such their wines are ones with great minerality. And
delicious! Their farming practices are organic and their yields are kept low,
producing concentrated wines that are expressive of terroir.
This is an incredibly layered number, one that we think you should decant
before enjoying. Expect sweet citrus, honeysuckle, hazlenut and that lovely
sea-spray/oyster shell minerality we love so much. Complexity at its finest.
