Francois Cotat Sancerre Caillottes 2023

Bright, pure and bursting with energy, this is a more approachable take on the Cotat style—sourced from younger vines on Sancerre’s classic chalky caillottes soils. Once bottled as “Jeunes Vignes,” it now stands on its own as a serious expression. The 2023 vintage shines with notes of lemon zest, white florals, ginger and crushed rock. A silky core of stone fruit is lifted by razor-sharp citrus acidity and saline minerality. Deep, textural, and unmistakably Chavignol, it drinks beautifully now but will reward cellaring.
