Mac Forbes' Wesburn vineyard plated in 1981 was in a state of disrepair when
he took over things in the early 2010s. The site sits on the gravelly
siltstone clay soils at the foot of Mount Bride. Made in tiny volumes for a few
short years, the Chenin Blanc was picked by hand, destemmed and
crushed before pressing. Fermented using indigenous yeasts and matured in old
oak vessels for 9 months.
