Michel Chapoutier St Joseph Les Granilites 2021

Crafted from Syrah grown on granite-rich slopes in Charnas, Tournon, and Mauves—the birthplace of Saint-Joseph—this wine reflects its high-altitude, southeast-facing vineyards and cool, wind-exposed climate. Hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts, it undergoes a long maceration and is aged partly in French oak (25%) and concrete tanks (75%) to balance power with purity. The result is a garnet-hued wine with dark berry aromas, graphite minerality, and fine, structured tannins. Fresh, focused, and age-worthy for 5–10 years.
