After taking control of this historical estate in 1980, Noelia Ricci has
aimed to produce pure expressions of Sangiovese from Emilia-Romagna, which is
sandwiched between Tuscany to the south, and Lombardy and Veneto to the North.
She’s given us high-toned aromatics that are as fun and colourful as the label,
with a soft body of cherry, raspberry liquorice, some subtle spice and an honest
vinous character. The Pandolfa Federico Sangiovese is made to be put on the
table next to your Tuesday night spaghetti Bolognese.
