Verget Macon Charnay Clos Saint Pierre 2022

Grown on the sun-drenched, south-facing slopes of Mont du Mâconnais, this wine benefits from soils rich in limestone, lending freshness and structure. Hand-harvested in late August, only the free-run juice was used, undergoing a slow fermentation in seasoned oak barrels that continued through to late November. The wine was then matured for eight months in the same neutral oak.

A standout in Verget’s 2022 range, Clos Saint-Pierre is richly textured yet impeccably balanced. Layers of ripe white peach, red apple, and a touch of brioche unfold across the palate, leading to a long, lingering finish that remains elegant and lifted throughout.
