For more than 145 years and across five generations, Pio Cesare has crafted exceptional wines from its historic cellars in the heart of Alba. Founded in 1881 by Cesare Pio, the estate was inspired by the hills of Barolo and Barbaresco and built on a commitment to producing wines of the highest quality.
The winery was led for 40 years by fourth-generation family member Pio Boffa until his passing in 2021. Today, Pio Cesare is jointly run by his daughter, Federica Boffa, and nephew, Cesare Benvenuto, who continue the family's legacy of excellence.
