Adrien Renoir Les Montants 2020 Champagne is a Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Champagne from Verzy, crafted by Adrien Renoir from old vine Chardonnay planted in 1961 on the Les Vignes Goisses site.

Tasting notes open with candied citrus, lemon zest and white flowers, layered with toasted hazelnut, buttery pastry and a fine chalky minerality. The palate is tense and energetic, showing very fine bubbles, precise acidity and a saline driven finish with impressive length and detail.

Style wise it is a low dosage, wood fermented Champagne with extended lees ageing of over 36 months, highlighting structure, purity and the limestone character of the Verzy terroir.

Best with oysters, scallop tartare, citrus driven seafood dishes or soft creamy cheeses where acidity, texture and saline complexity can fully express themselves.
