Babche Daimo's Syrah 2025

This organically grown Syrah from the Malakoff vineyard in Victoria’s Landsborough Valley captures the darker, savoury side of the variety with impressive freshness.

Blackcurrant leads the aromatics, joined by iodine, dark spice and subtle earthy notes. The palate moves between juicy fruit and more savoury tones, with fine structure, bright acidity and a dry, energetic finish.

Fruit is picked across several parcels over three weeks to build complexity and balance. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with no added sulphur, followed by maturation in old oak and stainless steel. Unfined and unfiltered, this is a pure, low intervention Syrah with plenty of character. Ideal with lamb or charred vegetables.
