Balnaves The Blend 2021

Balnaves The Blend 2021 is a finely structured Coonawarra red from an outstanding, mild vintage that delivered exceptional colour and flavour concentration. Sourced from the Terra Rossa soils of the Balnaves Vineyard, it reflects both regional precision and a hands-on family approach to winemaking.

The nose is lifted and layered, showing blackcurrant, mulberry and red plum alongside cedar, tobacco leaf and subtle choc mint notes from carefully judged French oak. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with a core of dark and red fruit wrapped in fine, integrated tannins and balanced by fresh acidity.

Smooth yet structured, the finish is long and savoury with gentle spice and earthy depth. A Cabernet-led blend built for medium-term cellaring, it pairs beautifully with roast lamb, beef dishes or hard aged cheeses.
