Bobar Verduzzo 2023

Bobar’s Heavy White is a distinctive expression of Verduzzo from 40 year old, non irrigated vines in Victoria’s Yarra Valley. A rare Italian variety in Australia, Verduzzo receives 14 days of whole bunch maceration before pressing, building colour, texture and gentle phenolic grip. The wine then spends eight months on lees in mature French oak barriques, adding savoury depth and helping integrate its structure. Bottled without fining or filtration, it has a textural, dry profile with ripe orchard fruit, subtle spice and a gently tannic finish. A compelling alternative white for those looking beyond Chardonnay and Pinot Gris.
