Bollinger La Cote Aux Enfants 2019

Bollinger La Côte aux Enfants 2019 is a rare expression of Pinot Noir from Aÿ, drawn from a steep four hectare vineyard owned entirely by Bollinger.

Made only in exceptional vintages, the wine is fermented in a Burgundian style with a portion of whole bunch fruit before ageing in small oak barrels. Dark cherry and blackberry lead the palate, joined by violet, liquorice and gentle spice, with more savoury notes of pepper, truffle and forest floor emerging with air. Silky tannins and firm natural tension give the wine impressive length.

A powerful yet finely detailed Coteaux Champenois Rouge, best served around 16°C alongside duck, game or mushroom dishes.
