From the La Chapelle des Bois lieu dit in Fleurie, this is a finely detailed expression of Gamay from 60 year old vines rooted in shallow, stony pink granite soils.

Whole bunch carbonic maceration in cement preserves perfume and freshness before the wine spends around 12 months in foudre. The palate is lifted with strawberry, wild herbs and floral notes, alongside fennel, pepper and a subtle earthy, mineral edge. Fine tannins and bright acidity give the wine an elegant, flowing shape.

A fragrant and expressive Fleurie with plenty of detail, ideal with charcuterie, roast chicken or mushroom dishes.
