Catena Zapata Malbec 2024

Catena Malbec is the result of Laura Catena and Alejandro Vigil working with three of Mendoza's finest high altitude estate vineyards. This is a Malbec that drinks beautifully now but will reward cellaring for a decade or more.

Look for dark cherry, blackberry and violet on the nose, with a subtle graphite edge. The palate is medium to full bodied, with fine tannins and a long, savoury finish. Fermented with wild yeasts and aged in French oak, it has structure without being heavy.

Try it with grilled lamb, a mushroom ragu or an aged hard cheese. A serious Argentine red that overdelivers at the price.
