Chateau Rieussec Sauternes 2009 750Ml

Situated in Fargues near Yquem, Château Rieussec is one of the region’s most esteemed estates. The 2009 vintage began with a wet spring followed by a dry, sunny summer and cool nights ideal for slow ripening and botrytis development. Harvested between September 17 and October 15, the grapes were picked at peak concentration.

The blend is 84.5% Semillon with 11.5% of Sauvignon Blanc and 4% Muscadelle. Fermentation took place in oak, with 55% new barrels used for aging, contributing to the wine’s depth and texture. This vintage is noted for its purity, balance, and long ageing potential.
