Clarendon Hills Astralis Syrah 2014

This 2014 Astralis is beautifully concentrated, offering a kaleidoscope of aromas and flavours. Expect dark liquorice, blackberry, and mocha notes interwoven with touches of chamomile, earthy nuances, bitumen, and herb garden aromas. The palate is rich and muscular, with dry, slinky tannins, underlying savoury oak, and abundant fruit concentration. With age, it develops panforte, dark chocolate, cedar, and spicy aromas with superb chocolaty textures. The wine shows remarkable buoyancy, energy, and flavour length, making it a standout among McLaren Vale Shirazes.

Vinification takes place in variable capacity open stainless steel fermenters, followed by maturation in new Burgundian pièces for 18 months.
