Clarendon Hills Cabernet Sauvignon Sandown 2023

A distinctive old vine Cabernet Sauvignon from Blewitt Springs, one of McLaren Vale’s highest and most fragrant subregions.

Sourced from dry grown Reynella clone vines planted in the 1930s, the wine shows blackcurrant, cassis and dark cherry with dried herbs, subtle earth and fine cedar spice. The palate is structured but not heavy, with generous fruit, firm tannins and a long, savoury finish.

Wild fermented and matured for 18 months in seasoned French oak before bottling without fining or filtration, this is a focused expression of single site McLaren Vale Cabernet. Only 3000 bottles were produced. Excellent with roast lamb, beef or hard cheese.
