Craggy Range Gimblett Gravels Syrah 2023

Craggy Range Gimblett Gravels Syrah 2023 is a polished, full bodied Hawke’s Bay red with plenty of dark fruit and classic cool climate spice.

Black cherry and plum sit alongside violet, cracked pepper and savoury notes, with a smooth, velvety palate and fine tannins providing shape. The gravel soils of Gimblett Gravels help give the wine both ripeness and definition, keeping the style generous without becoming heavy.

This is an approachable but ageworthy New Zealand Syrah, equally suited to drinking now or spending a few years in the cellar. Try it with lamb, beef or chargrilled vegetables.
