Delas Cotes Du Rhone Saint Esprit Rouge 2023

Delas Freres Saint Esprit is a reliable Cotes du Rhone from a producer established in the northern Rhone in 1835. A blend of Syrah and Grenache, it spends eight months ageing in vats, keeping the focus on generous fruit and freshness. The nose shows dark raspberry, ripe black cherry and liquorice, with hints of Provençal herbs, pepper and earthy spice. Medium bodied and succulent, the palate is rich with dark fruit and chewy tannins, balanced by a fresh, juicy finish. An easygoing Rhône red with enough structure for weeknight dinners, especially roast lamb, sausages or slow cooked beef.
