Devil Made Fallen Angel Pinot Noir Clone 667 2022

This Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir is built around Dijon clone 667, a later ripening clone known for small bunches, firm structure and darker fruit expression.

From a high density vineyard in Woodside, the 2022 shows dark cherry, black plum and violet with layers of earth, smoked meat and graphite. Partial whole bunch fermentation adds savoury lift and extra structure, while twelve months in French oak, one third new, brings shape without overwhelming the fruit.

The palate is concentrated and finely tannic, with cool climate freshness and a long, dry finish. Drink now with duck or mushroom dishes, or cellar for further development.
