Domaine Belargus Les Quarts is a highly distinctive expression of Chenin Blanc from the historic Quarts de Chaume Grand Cru in the Loire Valley. From a south facing schist slope exposed to morning mist from the Layon, the 2018 vintage combines botrytis driven concentration with remarkable freshness and precision. Aromas of apricot, dried fig, gingerbread, nougat and porcini lead into a rich, unctuous palate balanced by firm acidity, mineral tension and a fine saline finish. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in barrel, this is a serious, ageworthy liquoreux that balances sweetness with exceptional structure and energy.
