Domaine de Cassiopée’s En Gerlieus 2023 is a vibrant, new wave expression of Bourgogne Rouge from the Maranges region, crafted from old vine Pinot Noir near Sampigny-les-Maranges. The nose is lifted and perfumed, showing bright red cherry, raspberry and subtle floral tones with a gentle spice lift.

The palate is fresh and finely structured, with a mix of pure red fruit and savoury depth, shaped in part by partial whole bunch fermentation. There’s a clean line of acidity and fine tannins that give definition without weight, leading to a crisp, moreish finish.

An exciting new generation Burgundy, this is best enjoyed slightly chilled with charcuterie, roast poultry or casual shared plates, offering immediate drinking appeal with a sense of energy and place.
