Domaine D'eugenie Clos Vougeot 2021

A powerful Grand Cru Pinot Noir from Domaine d’Eugénie, the 2021 Clos de Vougeot reflects both the intensity of the site and the structured, cellar driven style of the vintage.

The nose is deep and brooding, with dark cherry, blackberry and black plum layered over spice, cedar and well integrated oak. There is a savoury depth beneath the fruit, shaped by whole bunch fermentation and the upper slope fruit just below the château. On the palate it is full bodied and concentrated, with firm, fine tannins and a dense core of fruit that builds steadily rather than rushing forward.

This is a structured, serious Clos de Vougeot built for long term cellaring. While already showing richness, it will open significantly with time, ideally paired later in life with slow roasted lamb or game.
