The 2022 Lulu & Lucien from Domaine Tempier captures the essence of Bandol through its signature Mourvèdre-led blend, complemented by Grenache, Cinsault, and Carignan. Deep ruby in colour, the nose reveals wild blackberries, ripe plums, and dried herbs, lifted by subtle floral notes. The palate is full-bodied yet elegant, with structured tannins, a savory backbone, and a mineral-laced finish that reflects the clay-limestone soils of La Cadière, Sainte Anne d’Evenos, and Ollioules.

This complex Bandol red offers excellent cellaring potential, but is also approachable now with slow-roasted lamb, Provençal stews, or aged cheeses.
