Domaine Trenel Coteaux Bourguignons Gamay 2022

Coteaux Bourguignons is a versatile appellation spanning all of Burgundy, from Chablis to Lyon, created in 2011 to showcase red, white, and rosé wines. Trénel’s version comes from limestone-rich parcels near Villefranche and Le Bois d’Oingt in southern Beaujolais. Made from 100% old-vine Gamay, it’s a light, ruby-colored red with notes of red and black berries, a stony cherry character, and a nod to Pinot Noir in its elegance. Bright, round, and easy-drinking, it’s best served at 15–18°C with grilled or sauced meats, or bold cheeses like Époisses.
