Domaine Trenel Morgon Cote Du Py Gamay 2022

Morgon, one of Beaujolais’ most expressive crus, is known for wines that reflect their terroir so distinctly that locals coined the term “morgonner”. Trénel’s Morgon Côte du Py 2014 hails from the renowned Mont du Py, a sun-drenched hill with steep, south-facing slopes and schist-rich soils. Deep ruby in hue, the wine delivers layered aromas of ripe raspberry, black cherry, and morello, with flinty, spicy notes of clove and pepper. On the palate, it’s vibrant and structured, with firm yet velvety tannins and a long, spicy finish. Serve at 15–16°C with game, Charolais beef, or truffled cheese. Cellar for 12–17 years.
