Edouard Confuron Bourgogne Aligote 2024

A generous take on Aligoté from Edouard Confuron, showing more texture and ripeness than the variety is often known for.

Ripe pear, yellow plum and citrus lead the way, with a juicy mid palate and bright acidity keeping the wine fresh. A portion of barrel maturation adds extra flesh and rounds out the naturally brisk shape of the variety.

Fruit comes from old vines planted on deep clay and limestone soils across Burgundy, with Edouard sourcing from family parcels as he builds his own micro domaine. Fresh but not lean, this is a lovely match for oysters, roast chicken or soft cheeses.
