Edouard Delaunay Chassagne Montrachet 2019

Sourced from the Les Champs de Morjot vineyard, this Chassagne Montrachet Chardonnay captures the richness and precision that have made Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune so highly regarded. Grown on limestone and marl soils, it offers aromas of ripe citrus, white peach and delicate florals, with subtle toasted hazelnut and spice. The palate combines generous fruit and creamy texture with fresh acidity and a distinct mineral character. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for 14 months on fine lees in French oak, including 33% new barrels, it has impressive depth and a long, finely structured finish. A lovely match for roast chicken, scallops or rich seafood dishes.
