La Bota de Amontillado 109 “Bota Punta” is a remarkably old, concentrated Amontillado from Trebujena, sourced from a single cask preserved by the Albarizas de Trebujena cooperative. Despite its considerable age and extract, it retains the defining tension of Amontillado, with a dry, saline profile and pronounced oxidative complexity. Expect roasted almond, dried citrus, old wood, spice and subtle iodine notes, carried by firm acidity and a long, persistent finish. The wine’s exact prehistory is uncertain, but its profile is unmistakably linked to the albariza soils and coastal influence of Trebujena and nearby Sanlúcar. Best served slightly cool with aged cheese or jamón ibérico.
