Fletcher Barbaresco Faset Docg 2022

Fletcher Barbaresco Faset DOCG 2022 is a powerful yet finely perfumed expression of Nebbiolo from one of Barbaresco’s most structured crus. Faset is known for its density and depth, and in this vintage it shows a style that edges closer to Barolo in presence while retaining Barbaresco’s aromatic finesse.

The nose is highly expressive, opening with raspberry, strawberry and rose petals, layered with ginger spice, lavender and a faint honeyed perfume. There is a classic Nebbiolo lift of tar and dried flowers that builds with air.

On the palate, it is medium bodied but firmly structured, with stony tannins, bright acidity and a core of red fruit framed by liquorice, citrus peel and savoury amaro like bitterness. The finish is long, mineral and precise.

A natural match for braised meats, truffle dishes or mushroom based pastas, this is a serious Barbaresco with both tension and aromatic detail, built for cellaring yet already compelling.
