Fletcher Barbaresco Ronchi Docg 2022

Fletcher Barbaresco Ronchi DOCG 2022 is a finely detailed single vineyard Nebbiolo from an east facing site that receives gentle morning sun, giving the wine a more restrained and savoury profile within the Barbaresco spectrum.

The nose opens with cherry and raspberry, layered with dried flowers, spice and a nutty edge of hazelnut and roasted peanuts. There is a subtle orange peel brightness that lifts the aromatics and adds contrast.

On the palate, it is medium bodied with a slightly broader feel than other cru expressions, showing ripe red fruit, firm pumice like tannins and fresh acidity that brings balance. The finish is long and structured, with savoury grip and evolving complexity.

A natural match for slow cooked meats, game or mushroom based dishes, this is a Barbaresco that is more about structure and detail than immediate charm, with clear potential to develop further with time in bottle.
