Gentle Folk Village Pinot Noir 2023

A blend of estate vineyards plus the Wilsmore and St James's vineyard in Piccadilly. The 2023 release is light and ethereal, reflecting the cool season in the Hils. Still in Gentle Folk's usual house style - all the dance of aromatics on the nose and the tannin across your pallet...perfect for pairing with nearly anything on the lunch and dinner table.

Clones: MV6, D5V12, Pommard, 114, 115, 777, 828, 667 & Martini
Elevation: 520-620m
Aspects: East-west (Monomeith), north-south (Little Creek), South (Piccadilly), South-east & South-west (Scary Gully), North (Uraidla)
Soils: Light loamy clay over sandstone with extensive schist & quartz rubble.
Vinification: 20% whole cluster open top fermentation for three weeks, but the blend includes some shorter macerated 100%-whole-bunch fermentation barrels. Eight months in French oak barriques and puncheons, 10% new.
