Geoff Weaver Chardonnay 2021

The 2021 Geoff Weaver Chardonnay is a finely detailed Adelaide Hills Chardonnay, combining depth and texture with a notably restrained style. From 38 year old vines, the wine shows subtle aromas of pear, cream and roasted nuts, with a fresh, lightly herbal lift. The palate is tight and focused, with a supple mid palate giving way to savoury phenolics and a precise, lingering acid line. Whole bunch pressed and fermented in French oak barriques, the wine spent 12 months on lees, adding quiet richness while preserving its freshness. A beautifully composed Chardonnay with the structure and balance to develop gracefully in bottle.
