Giacomo Conterno Nebbiolo d'Alba Vigna Arione 2022 offers a rare look at one of Piedmont’s great sites through the lens of one of Barolo’s benchmark producers.

Sourced from a parcel of Arione just outside the Barolo zone, it shows bright cherry, rose, liquorice, dried herbs, fennel and white pepper, with a subtle mineral edge. The palate is precise and finely structured, carrying fresh red fruit through firm but polished tannins and lively acidity.

More supple than Conterno’s Barolo but unmistakably serious, this is elegant Nebbiolo with excellent ageing potential. Ideal with tajarin, porcini dishes or slow cooked beef.
