Groom Barossa Valley Shiraz 2022

Our Shiraz comes from the Barossa, known for low-yielding vines and tiny berries—ideal for top-quality reds. The Kalimna site sits next to the old Penfolds Grange vineyard.

Daryl aims for a Shiraz that’s rich but not over-oaked or jammy. He focuses on spice, anise, and berry character with a firm, smooth structure. Small-batch ferments, 6 days on skins, minimal handling, and aging in a mix of new and one-year American oak help keep things balanced and refined.
