Henskens Rankin 2016 Brut

A beautifully mature Tasmanian sparkling wine, blending 57% Chardonnay and 43% Pinot Noir from Pipers River and the Coal River Valley. Over nine years on lees have given this exceptional 2016 vintage remarkable depth and complexity.

Ripe white peach, nectarine and lemon curd meet layers of toasted brioche, almond, honey and subtle red berries. The palate is rich and finely textured, with savoury notes of oyster shell and sea spray, vibrant acidity and a long, distinctly dry finish.

Disgorged in December 2025 with just 1.5 g/L dosage, this is a complex, elegant sparkling wine made in tiny quantities. Particularly good alongside scallops, lobster or aged cheeses.
