Inkwell Infidels Primitivo 2022

Inkwell's 2022 Infidels Primitivo offers a rich yet balanced expression of this Southern Italian variety, grown on established vines in McLaren Vale.

Ripe blackberry, dark cherry and plum are complemented by gentle spice, dried herbs and subtle earthy notes. The palate is generous and rounded, with concentrated dark fruit, supple tannins and a savoury finish.

Careful oak maturation brings added depth and complexity while allowing the natural character of Primitivo to shine. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, this is a full flavoured red with enough structure to develop over the next decade. An excellent match for slow cooked lamb, rich tomato pasta or grilled meats.
