Jean Foillard Corcelette 2023

Jean Foillard Corcelette 2023 is a beautifully lifted and elegant expression of Morgon, sourced from the sandy, higher-altitude soils of the Corcelette lieu-dit. It shows a more delicate, perfumed side of Foillard’s Gamay compared to the depth of Côte du Py.

The nose is fragrant and expressive, with red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry layered over violet, rose petal and subtle spice. The palate is supple and refined, with silky tannins, bright acidity and a pure line of red fruit that glides effortlessly across the palate.

Light on its feet yet quietly complex, this is a graceful, drinkable Morgon that can be enjoyed young or cellared for added nuance. It pairs beautifully with charcuterie, roast chicken, pork dishes or earthy vegetarian fare.
