Keller Westhofener Kirchspiel Riesling GG 2022

Keller’s 2022 Westhofener Kirchspiel Riesling GG is a finely detailed dry Riesling from vines planted in 1964, with the limestone soils of Kirchspiel giving the wine its distinctive chalky character. The nose is pure and focused, showing lemon balm, ripe lemon, Mirabelle and delicate blossom. On the palate, it is bone dry and tightly structured, with fine phenolics framing concentrated citrus and stone fruit. Bright acidity drives the wine through a long, saline finish, where limestone minerality and lemon linger. Elegant rather than overtly powerful, this is a serious Grosses Gewächs with impressive concentration and the structure to age beautifully.
