Kir Yianni Assyrtiko Amyndeon 2024

Kir Yianni’s Assyrtiko from Amyndeon offers a softer, more approachable take on Greece’s distinctive native white grape. Grown on the cooler plateau of Northern Greece, the wine has the mineral character associated with Assyrtiko, but with a gentler texture and less of the briny intensity found in many Santorini examples. Expect subtle talc, green olive and citrus notes, with fresh acidity and a clean, savoury finish. Light, dry and easy to enjoy young, it works particularly well with baked fish, grilled seafood, olives or simple Mediterranean dishes. A great introduction to Assyrtiko beyond Santorini.
