Koerner Vivian Sangiovese 2024

The 2024 Koerner Vivian Sangiovese is a beautifully restrained expression of Clare Valley Sangiovese, sourced from organically farmed vines planted in 1998 in Watervale. Grown on classic terra rossa soils over limestone, it reveals fragrant red cherry, wild raspberry and delicate florals, complemented by dried herbs and subtle earthy spice. The palate is finely structured and savoury, with bright acidity, pure red fruit and the distinctive dusty tannins that define the variety. Wild fermented and matured for 12 months in large Slavonian oak foudre, followed by six months in stainless steel, it offers remarkable freshness, texture and finesse. A natural match for handmade pasta, roast pork or charcuterie.
