La Violetta Shiraz Up! Shiraz 2021

The 2022 Great Southern Syrah is a beautifully expressive Western Australian red, combining fruit from Mount Barker and Frankland River to showcase the elegance and savoury complexity of cool climate Syrah.

Aromas of blackberry, dark cherry and violets sit alongside cracked pepper, cured meats and subtle earthy spice. The palate is concentrated yet remarkably fresh, with juicy dark fruit, fine tannins and a distinctive ironstone mineral character adding depth and structure.

Fermented with a small proportion of whole bunches and matured for ten months in Slavonian and French oak, this is a refined, savoury Syrah with impressive balance. Excellent alongside roast lamb, grilled beef or mushroom dishes.
