Le Ragnaie Brunello di Montalcino Fornace 2011 comes from a single high altitude vineyard in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, capturing the richer character of this warm Tuscan vintage.

The palate is generous and silky, with ripe cherry, plum and cassis joined by dried herbs, liquorice, leather and subtle balsamic notes. There is real warmth and depth here, but the wine retains enough freshness to keep the finish balanced and composed.

Aged for 36 months in large Slavonian oak casks, Fornace shows a more opulent and mature side of Sangiovese. Best enjoyed with slow cooked beef, lamb or aged pecorino.
