Leflaive Macon Verze 2024

This biodynamic Mâcon Verzé Chardonnay comes from a patchwork of vineyard sites across the Verzé Valley, where clay and limestone soils give the wine freshness, texture and definition.

The 2024 vintage is bright and finely composed, with citrus, green apple and white peach alongside subtle floral and mineral notes. Fermentation across stainless steel, foudre, concrete and 600 litre barrels builds complexity without overwhelming the fruit, while extended lees ageing adds gentle weight and savoury detail.

Cool conditions through the growing season have produced a Chardonnay driven more by tension and freshness than richness. A natural match for grilled fish, roast chicken or creamy seafood dishes.
