Loic Mahe Sables & Schistes Savennieres 2022

Château Loïc Mahé’s Cuvée Sables et Schistes is a dry Chenin Blanc from Savennieres, shaped by the sandy and schist soils of the Loire Valley. The 2022 vintage combines ripe stone fruit with the mineral character that makes Savennieres so distinctive. Expect aromas of apricot, white flowers and a subtle honeyed note, leading into a rounded palate with bright acidity and a long, saline finish. There is plenty of texture here, but the wine remains fresh and focused. Give it a little air before serving at around 10 to 12°C, then pair it with oysters, grilled fish or a fresh goat’s cheese.
