This Nebbiolo from Luigi Giordano shows fragrant aromas of violet, wild strawberry, raspberry and subtle dried herbs, leading into a light-to-medium–bodied palate with bright acidity, fine dusty tannins and a long, mineral finish. Delicate red-fruit flavours, almond and red cherry create an elegant, lively expression that Gary Walsh (The Wine Front) rated 93 points. Luigi Giordano, founded in the early 19th century and producing wine under its own label since 1960, is renowned for championing Barbaresco’s terroir through traditional long macerations and ageing in large botti.
